  • Evangelos P. Pritsis Evan Pritsis is the Founder & Owner of Blue Nomads, a PADI Five Star IDC Dive Center in Athens, Greece, and a diving professional with more than two decades of experience beneath the surface. His diving journey starts in 1996 in his family business called Extreme Divers and his professional journey began in 2004 as an IANTD Instructor, where he built a strong technical and educational foundation while training under some of the industry's most respected professionals. Working alongside outstanding instructors and spending countless hours underwater allowed him to develop extensive experience, refine his teaching philosophy, and cultivate an uncompromising commitment to safety and excellence. In 2018, Evan made a defining step in his career by joining the PADI organization. Becoming a PADI Staff Instructor, he embraced PADI's educational philosophy and dedicated himself to delivering world-class diver training. Since then, he has certified thousands of divers and transformed his dive center from a PADI Dive Center into a PADI Five Star Instructor Development Center (IDC)—a recognition of the highest standards in diver education, customer service, and professional development. Driven by a passion for innovation, Evan is always exploring the latest diving technology, equipment, and gadgets that enhance safety and enrich every underwater adventure. Yet, despite his love for technology and the ocean, his greatest pride and inspiration is his son, who motivates him every day to become a better father, leader, and instructor. For Evan, diving is far more than a profession—it's a lifelong passion built on education, adventure, exploration, and respect for the ocean.   • Danae Ioanna Giannousaki Some people choose diving as a hobby. For Danae, it became a way of life. Born and raised in Athens, Greece, her love for the ocean began long before she ever wore a scuba tank. As a young girl, she spent endless summers following her father and uncle on their freediving fishing adventures, where the sea became her playground and the underwater world her greatest source of curiosity. That early connection naturally evolved into a lifelong passion for marine life and ocean conservation. Long before becoming a dive professional, Danae dedicated herself to protecting the environment, volunteering for three years with ARCHELON – The Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece, participating in numerous beach clean-up campaigns and frequently organizing her own environmental initiatives. An adventurer by nature, she explored more than ten different extreme sports before discovering scuba diving in 2016. She also earned her powerboat license, allowing her to experience Greece's coastline from both above and below the surface. It didn't take long to realize that scuba diving was exactly where she belonged. Her passion quickly transformed into a professional career driven by dedication, continuous education and an uncompromising commitment to safety and excellence. These qualities led her to achieve the prestigious Elite Instructor recognition in only her second year as a professional diving instructor—an exceptional milestone that reflects both her expertise and the trust she inspires in every diver she teaches. Today, Danae is one of the passionate professionals behind Blue Nomads, where she combines technical knowledge, patience and genuine enthusiasm to create memorable underwater experiences for divers of every level. Whether introducing someone to their very first breath underwater or guiding experienced divers through Greece's spectacular reefs, caves and wrecks, her mission remains the same: to help people discover not only the beauty of the underwater world, but also the confidence, freedom and sense of adventure that diving can bring. Away from the sea, Danae is an enthusiastic underwater photographer and outdoor explorer. During the colder months, when diving takes a short pause, she can usually be found hiking through Greece's beautiful mountain landscapes—always searching for the next adventure, above or below the surface.   • George Christis For more than four decades, George has been living the sea—not simply exploring it. His underwater journey began in the summer of 1986, and what started as curiosity soon became a lifelong passion that shaped both his career and his identity. Although he first earned his scuba certifications, it was freediving and spearfishing that truly captured his heart. His dedication to the sport led him to the top levels of competition, earning numerous national titles and podium finishes in spearfishing and underwater target shooting. His greatest achievement came with three selections to the Greek National Team, proudly representing Greece at one World Championship and two European Championships. As his experience beneath the surface grew, so did his desire to share his knowledge. Since 1997, George has been one of Greece's most respected voices in the diving and spearfishing community, contributing technical articles, travel stories and educational content to leading magazines including Underwater World, Vythos, and, since 2021, Boat & Fishing – Spearfishing Magazine. Committed to educating the next generation of ocean enthusiasts, he became a Freediving Instructor in 2000, certified by both the Free Diving Institute and the Hellenic Underwater Federation (EOYDA). In 2016, he further expanded his expertise by becoming a certified Spearfishing Instructor through the Hellenic Underwater Federation. A licensed powerboat operator since 1995, George has also been at the helm of the 11-meter Blue Nomads RIB since 2019, safely guiding divers and adventurers to some of Greece's most spectacular underwater destinations. At Blue Nomads, George brings together over 40 years of hands-on experience, championship-level expertise, instructional excellence and an unwavering respect for the sea.   • John Abd Elmeseh For John Abd Elmeseh, diving has never been just a profession—it has been a lifelong calling. Born in Egypt, John discovered the underwater world at the age of 12 during his very first dive in the crystal-clear waters of Sharm El Sheikh. From that unforgettable moment, he knew the ocean would shape his future. By the age of 18, he had already achieved what many divers only dream of—becoming a PADI Instructor. Today, with more than 18 years of professional diving experience, John is recognized as one of the industry's most accomplished diving educators. Throughout his career, he has worked alongside some of the finest dive centers and professionals across Egypt, Greece, Thailand, and the United States, training divers and mentoring future dive professionals from around the world. His passion for excellence has earned him some of PADI's highest distinctions, including being recognized as a PADI Elite Instructor an impressive ten times, receiving the PADI Certificate of Excellence on four separate occasions, and winning the prestigious My PADI Challenge in 2017. As Course Director at Blue Nomads, John is dedicated to developing confident, highly skilled, and safety-focused divers and instructors. His calm approach, extensive international experience, and commitment to the highest training standards make every course both inspiring and unforgettable.
